As part of the press tour the SBK guys visited the stadium venue for the 2010 World Cup South Africa in Johannesburg, Soccer City, locally known as the "Calabash". Pictured in the Stadium are Michel Fabrizio, Carlos Checa, Jonathan Rea, Cal Crutchlow, Tom Sykes, Troy Corser and Max Biaggi. Also shown is South African and International Football Star Shaun Bartlett.

So I've decided to make it a continuing feature of my motorcycle gear store blog, but to add to the Motorcyle Racing element things like Festivals Rallies, Motocross, Supercross, Shows, & anything I can find on 2 wheels that's Motorbike Related.     If you've got some info about a big motorcycle racing destination, got any more dates that I've missed for your favourite bike racing, or if you know TV screening times for any major motorsport (particularly motorcycle racing) in your part of the world, feel free to reply to this post and leave the info here for others. Particularly as MotoGP race is in Qatar, people get a little confused about screening time for live coverage and time zones on the ground in these exotic Locals..

    Please also let me know if you have any other local superbike dates - for example, I hear the Australian Superbike Championship and is quite a hoot and Canadian Superbikes are good value too. - I'd love to publish them, or pictures, or travel tips for others, if you're attending any of these races. Let me know.

    Rain postpones Qatar - MotoGP Motorcycle Racing Dates

    MOTOGP / W-SBK & MOTORCYCLE RACING DATES APRIL 2009.

    Torrential Desert Rain in Doha Qatar spoils an Easter Sunday treat for fans of MotoGP and not one place on the Speed TV website with mention of when the rescheduled race (to be held on Monday local time)  will air on US Television !  So much for the "Authority"

    If you know the TV time, in the US, or if you'd like to contribute your local motorcycle racing telecast times so I can put up a WORLD Motorcycle Racing TV schedule,  let me know and I'll publish it here.

    Finally in April MotoGP Championship returns to us with so many great changes including our Nicky Hayden on a factory Ducati alongside Australian former champ Casey Stoner, all in an attempt to challenge the re-throned king of motorcycle racing, Valentino Rossi. But there's more to Motorcycle Racing than Moto GP - There's the local Superbikes as well. including World, AMA (USA) and British Superbikes to fill our Sunday afternoons with glee, and hopefully get the insanity off our chests so we can go out and ride like normal human beings on our beloved bikes. So get the Akrapovich off the snowblower, dust off the couch, set the DVR, and do whatever else you do (we all have strange good luck rituals before watching our favorites do their stuff, just as they do themselves.     If you've got some info about a big motorcycle racing destination, got any more dates that I've missed for your favorite bike racing, or if you know TV screening times for any major motorsport (particularly motorcycle racing) in your part of the world, feel free to reply to this post and leave the info here for others. Particularly as MotoGP race is in Qatar, people get a little confused about screening time for live coverage and timezones on the ground in these exotic Locals..

    Please also let me know if you have any other local superbike dates - for example, I hear the Australian Superbike Championship and is quite a hoot and Canadian Superbikes are good value too. - I'd love to publish them, or pictures, or travel tips for others, if you're attending any of these races. Let me know.
