Valentino Rossi conquers the Laguna Seca Corkscrew & then Kisses the Ground he just Wailed on!
After many years of trying to beat Laguna Seca, Gazilion time World Champion and one of the best Motorcycle Racing Riders of all time, Valentino Rossi, finally achieved a glorious victory at the 2008 US Grand Prix at Laguna Seca. To Celebrate the wonderful moment the loveable Italian, during his victory lap, got off his #46 Fiat Yamaha MI MotoGP Racer, handed it to a couple of fans to look after, and bent down to kiss the ground at one of the most spectacular places in all of modern motorsport. the Laguna Seca Mazda Raceway turn 8 corkscrew. (It's no old parabolica at Monza Circuit Italy, but hey, it's a big deal). Here's fan video of this moment that will be part of motorcycle racing folklore for many years to come. Not to mention the race itself, which was an absolute gem featuring dicing between Rossi and Australian current Moto GP World Champion Casey Stoner on a Ducati.
